ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Isdefe’s Environmental Management System promotes the efficient use of available natural resources, the prevention of pollution and climate change, and a more environmentally friendly management of the waste generated.

The system is reviewed annually to ensure its continued suitability and effectiveness.

Isdefe has a selective waste separation plan at the source, using containers. There has been an increase in the consumption of non-hazardous waste with respect to 2020 and 2021 as a result of the COVID-19 preventive measures.

CLIMATE CHANGE

Carbon footprint

Every year Isdefe obtains its Carbon Footprint in order to quantify its impact on climate change and identify the possibilities for reducing both emissions and costs. The method used to obtain the Carbon Footprint was the Carbon Footprint Calculator developed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment.
